She was predeceased by: her parents, Adolf Gertz and Leokadya Gertz; and her brothers, Arnold and Helmut. She is survived by: her children, Herb Schmid (Beverley) of Port Elgin and Ruth Griffiths (Allen) of Salmon Arm, BC; her grandchildren, Matthew Schmid (Yvonne), Christine Davis (Scott), Leanna Harper (Paul), Benjamin Schmid (Marissa) and Alyssa Brown; and her great grandchildren, Ezekiel Schmid, Audrey and Abigayle Harper.
