Muriel Gowan Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Muriel Gowan (Southampton, Ontario), who passed away on January 22, 2026, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Neil Gowan; her children, Laura MacDonald and Jeffrey; her parents, Elmer and Laura; her siblings, Jim Donaldson (Peggy), Della (Max Morandin) and Jean (Bob Mills); and her in-laws, Lee Gowan Margie (Willis), John (Donald), Ruby Legge (Pearl), Sadie Fenton (Laureen Gowan) and Mary Herron (Anna Farrow).
She is survived by: her children, Bob (Susan), David (Barbara) and Dianne (Darrell Laviolette); her grandchildren, Dana (Pierre), Heather (Paul), Glen (Maura), Carol (Dennis), Wilson, Katie (Moe), Dianne (Mike), Amy (Mark), Neil (Amy), Michael (Jaclynn), Jane and Emily (Zach); her great grandchildren, Natalie, Kaitlyn, Madison, Eva, Callaway, Billy, Ethan, Kian, Hudson, Cala, Logan, Odin, Lauren, Aidan, Isaac, Elliot, Isla, Stella, Owen, Emmett, Zoe, Jade, Kasabian, Keiran, Kenzie and Robin; and her brother-in-law Gordon Farrow (Gowan). She is also survived by nieces & nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 30th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Cornerstone Presbyterian Church (110 Yonge St N, Tara, ON N0H2N0). A funeral service was held on Saturday, January 31st 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
