She was predeceased by: her husband Jack MacDonald; her parents, Illa May and Robert George Pentney; and her siblings, Bernice Goodhead and Robert Charles Pentney.

She is survived by: her daughters, Terrie (Tim Boileau) and Pamela (Bruce Holigroski); and her sisters, June Fotherby and Mary McLeish. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
