She was loved and cherished by many people including : her husband David MacFarlane; her children, Benjamin (Alexandra) and Holly (Kody); her grandchildren, Braden, Clara, Amelia, Austin and Ethan; her parents, Bette Anne Dittburner and Roy Dittburner; and her siblings, Jane (Lorne), Kathryn (Ross), Melanie (Steve), Lorraine, Julie (Charles), Bryan (Shawna) and Carolyn (David). She was also cherished by nephews, extended family and friends.

As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society of Canada or the Lake Huron Coastal Centre.

Anne penn wrote a sympathy message

“Shelley greatly enriched my life and I am glad in so many way, our lives crossed paths. We will all miss her a lot. I will help Braden and Clara remember her with great memories, love and share with them how much she loved them. That is I feel, the best gift I can give back to Shelley. Anne Penn”
