She was predeceased by : her husband Ralph Mertz; her son Peter Mertz (Jo Woodall); and her sister Margaret Blow (Cecil). She is survived by : her daughters, Nancy Johnston (late Andy) and Jo Ann Larkin (Dave Woodall); her grandchildren, Tom, John, Natalie, Drew, Kimmy, Kelsey and Cory; and her great grandchildren, Shayanne and Amelia. She is also survived by her nieces and nephews.

“Dear Nancy, as i was doing some family history and searching different sights I came across the death notice of your dear mother Grace. When I was young we had the farm across the road from you and at time I played with both you and your brother Peter. I remember Peter eating at our house and all he wanted was mashed potatoes with salt. I remember you Mom and Dad fondly as they were always very kind to me. Your mother in my memory was a soft spoken and gentle woman. My sincere condolences to you and your family Lynda Day (Clark)”
