He is survived by : his siblings, Michael (Gui Hau), Anne (Rod Jones), Mary (John Kennedy), Philip (Lindsay), Jeff Thompson (Kumara) and Chris (Invercargill); and his cousin Anne Osborne (Cromwell). He is also survived by his nieces and nephews.
