He was loved and cherished by many people including : his spouse Anna (Zus); and his children-in-law, John, Marie (Hamilton), Bernadine, Martin Egan (Coal Creek), Catharina Curtis, Brian Curtis (Christchurch), David (Nelson), Vanessa, Kyle, Cheri, Bradley and Samantha.
