American actor and rapper Ricky Harris died of a heart attack at the age of 54, announced his manager Cindy Ambers.Originally from Long Beach, California, the artist is best known for playing in Everybody Hates Chris and Dope. As a childhood friend of Snoop Dogg, he has collaborated since 1993 with the rapper on his album Doggystyle. He then worked with big names like Ice Cube, Dr. Dre and the Tha Dogg Pound.His career truly took off in 1992 with the Def Comedy Jam series, before he got a role in the movie Poetic Justice alongside Janet Jackson and Tupac Shakur.During his career, he has made numerous appearances on television.

He played in Bones, Emergencies, the three versions of Experts (Las Vegas, Miami and Manhattan) or in the series American Crime Story: The People v. O.J. Simpson.Source: Journal de Montréal et BFMTV
