He was predeceased by: his siblings, Gene Matthews, Elaine McGlothan, Linda Eason, Fred Miller and Wayne Matthews; his parents, Maxine Matthews and C. E. Matthews; and his siblings-in-law, Hilda Matthews and Robert Eason.
He is survived by: his brother Dave Matthews of Anchor Point, Alaska; and his sisters-in-law, Sandy Matthews of Middleport and Julie Miller of Clarkston, Washington. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
