He was predeceased by : his parents, Andrew Hanson and Bertha Hanson; his son Timothy; his siblings, Leonard, Alice, Helen, Marion, Florence and Irene; and his son-in-law John Norsworthy.

He is survived by : his wife Patricia; his daughters, Karen Norsworthy of Anchorage and Linda Leitis (Edmunds Leitis) of Sammamish; his grandsons, Konrads Leitis of Bellingham and Lukas Leitis of North Bend; and his sister Doris Monson of Saint Peter, Minnesota..
