He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Lacombe and Florence MacPherson Lacombe; his children, Donald and Christine Long; and his siblings, Raymond, Robert, Edward, Helen Lowe, Lillian Lacombe and Rena Mahon.

He is survived by: his wife Rita Despina; his brother Joseph; his children-in-law, Rebecca (Bo) and Steve Long; his grandchildren, Steve, Scott, Donald (Ned), Victoria and Elizabeth; and his great grandchildren, Donnie, Laine, Brigitte, Shanaya and Emilia. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Salvation Army of Anchorage, Alaska.
