It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Fred Dennis Pelkey of Anchorage, Alaska, born in Presque Isle, Maine, who passed away on November 18, 2022, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Dennis Pelkey and Catherine Elizabeth Pelkey (Cote); and his siblings, Thomas G. Pelkey, Richard A. Pelkey and Judy E. Gillett.
He is survived by: his siblings, Edna M. Theriault (Gene), Linda S. Hawkins (Roger), Mary L. Moore (Jerry) and Michael J. Pelkey (Jenny); his sons, Kris Pelkey of Wisconsin and David Pelkey; his grandson Karl Pelkey; his son Wayne Pelkey; his grandsons, Alexander, Jacob and Isaac of California; his daughter Heidi Pelkey; his close friend Akiko Brandon; his grandchildren, Tadashi, Ashley, Alex, Noah and Jayden; his great grandchildren, Kaiah and Damian; and also, Tina, James, Choyu and Aiko. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
This will be at the Southcentral Foundation, Nuka Learning and Wellness Center, Tribal Drum Room (close to Patient Housing).
