With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Glen Ganel Irwin of Anchorage, Alaska, who passed away on May 28, 2025 at the age of 91. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Glen Ganel may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Glen Ganel touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was predeceased by: his wife Rosemary Ryan; and his son Patrick. He is survived by: his daughter Evelyn; his son-in-law Ronald Raymond of Aloha, Oregon; his son Richard; and his daughter-in-law Deborah Irwin of Anchorage. He is also survived by five grandchildren, three great grandchildren; nephew, and numerous cousins and in-laws.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 5th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Chester Park (2020 Muldoon Rd, Anchorage, AK 99504).
Instead of flowers, the family suggests any donations be made to the Anchorage Senior Activity Center at 1300 East 19th Ave., Anchorage, AK 99501.
