He is survived by: his grandson Denton; his niece Marie; his wife Barbara Ruth Cranor; his daughters, Deborah Reeder (Willy), Connie Frisk (Travis) of Anchorage and Laura Goforth (Jerome) of Tennessee; his great grandchildren, Jodi Johnson (Brett Foreman), Karson Frisk and Kamryn Frisk; his stepgrandson Hunter Goforth; his great grandchildren, Lydia Johnson and Madalyn Johnson; and his siblings, Jimmy Foote (Diane), Sandra Moore and Susan Lee (Lawrence).

At age 84, after battling Alzheimer's for several years, he peacefully drew his last breath on April 18, 2022 at his residence in Anchorage, Alaska.
