With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Lucy Phyllis Smith (Anchorage, Alaska), who passed away on October 27, 2025 at the age of 92. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Phillips Platts and Gladys Platts; her brother Clyde; and her sister-in-law Shirley. She is survived by: her husband Rodney; her children, Michele Hendrickson (Ed) and Doug (Joyce); her brother Paul; her grandchildren, Christina (Sam), John, Alex and Sandi; and her pet Yoda.
In 2020, Phyllis suffered a stroke and spent eight days in the hospital without visitors due to COVID restrictions, an unimaginably difficult experience.
