She was predeceased by: her father James D. Vetter; her niece Mariah Brooke Nissen; and her grandparents, Mike, Mayme Rebuck, Bruno and Grace Vetter.

She is survived by: her mother Anna Mae Vetter of New York Mills, MN; her husband Paul Perius; her children, Megan Perius of Minnesota and Ryan Perius of Bozeman, MT; the father of her children Paul Perius of Williston, ND; her sisters, Teri Nissen (Jim), Laure Laughlin (Ron) of Bluffton, MN and Kelly Larson (Larry) of Hawley, MN; her nephews, Aaron, Andrew Nissen, Matthew (Mackenzie) and Isaac Laughlin; and her pet Kiska of Anchorage, AK. She is also survived by extended family, and many friends.

In lieu of flowers, please donate to the local ASPCA or your local VFW on her behalf.

“I am deeply saddened to learn of Mary's passing. I am a classmate of Mary. I attended St. Luke's School of Nursing, and was in the same clinical group as Mary. In the two years we were in school, I got to know Mary. I remember her smile. She was a dedicated student. Because I moved to her home town of Perham, I would see her occasionally and keep in touch.
