He was predeceased by: his father Lt. Colonel Herbert Flister; his brother John Flister; and his father-in-law Thomas Lipps. He is survived by: his wife Ann Flister of Anchorage; his daughters, Sheila (Kyle Finch) and Jacqueline (Jacob Plancich); his mother MaryAnn Flister; his brother Mark; his sisters-in-law, Joan Flister and Maggie Flister; his mother-in-law Anita Lipps of Murray, Kentucky; his brothers, David (Cheri Lipps), Randy Lipps and Junko Turnbull of Athol, Idaho.; and his grandchildren, Camille, Garrett and Everett Finch of Eagle River. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.

Memorial donations may be made in Mike's name to the Shriner's Children's Hospital.
