He is survived by: his children, Robert Gillingham, Willow Gillingham, William Gillingham and Melanie Drake; and his nieces, Linda and Maria.

“my husband Joseph Culver and Gil knew each other thru the Bayshore Clubhouse, a neighborhood center, where they played guitars together and were friends for many years, GIL was a fun loving guy who was easy to be friends with. We always enjoyed being friends with he and Jennifer Sullivan and hearing about their camping stories, Gil was a real nice person, RIP. mr & mrs Joe Culver”
