With solemn reverence, we commemorate Robert Smith of Anchorage, Alaska, born in Union, New Jersey, whose life came to an end on November 21, 2025 at the age of 82, leaving behind cherished memories. As we bid adieu to Robert's earthly form, let us not dwell on the void left in his wake, but rather celebrate the legacy of love and inspiration Robert has bequeathed us. He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Smith and Anna Bourguignon. He is survived by: his wife Judy; his daughters, Judith Goodrum (Brent) and Anna Bourguignon-Lukas; and his grandchildren, Emily, Elizabeth, Hannah Goodrum, Logan and Arianna Lukas.

A funeral service was held on Saturday, November 29th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Turnagain United Methodist Church (3300 W Northern Lights Blvd, Anchorage, AK 99517).

In lieu of flowers the family requests that people donate to the nonprofit organization Isles in his memory.

“Our hearts are full with Bob's laughter, enjoyed in Anchorage in early 2023. Memories go back to 1965-68, in Washington D.C. and in Stockton, CA. Bob was always positive, saw the humor in everything, kept our spirits lifted, and was ever thoughtful of others--a great team player. We took his generosity and wisdom for granted. From today's perspective, how unique, energizing, and lovingly creative was his entire personality! Thank you, Bob--and Judy--for a sixty-year friendship!”
