He was predeceased by: his parents, Hazel Sheffield and William J. Sheffield; his wife Lee Buhlert; his stepdaughter Deborah; his brother Harold; his sister-in-law Betty Sheffield (Kevin Bruce); and his pets, Lord Baranoff, Heather, Heidi, Benson and Carl.
He is survived by: his close friends, Cheri McGuire, Dana, Stephen McAlpine, Rhonda Roberts, Dean Nelson, John and Margaret Pugh; his family, Lesil McGuire, Grayson McGuire Anderson and Jason McGuire; and his great-nieces, Joy Long (Mike) of Utah and Jerralyn McDonald (Phillip) of Florida.
Approximately 2. 4 million tourists visited Alaska in 2019, pre-Covid.
