Kaye Ann Carleton Obituary
We are sad to announce that on September 1, 2025, at the age of 63, Kaye Ann Carleton of Eagle River, Alaska passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Hilma Backman and Ralph Backman; her former husband Jerry Austin; her brother Mark Backman; and her mother-in-law Shirley Carleton.
She is survived by: her husband Bob Carleton; her father-in-law Robert Carleton; her daughters, Adrienne Austin (Michael Whelan) and Alexis Austin (Jeffrey Novzen); her stepchildren, Kymber Traub (Eric Traub) and Craig Carleton (Kathryn Carleton); her grandchildren, Meredith Whelan, Eleanor Novzen, Nora Traub, Craig Levi Carleton and Lorelei Carleton; and her siblings, Rodney Backman (Joanne Backman), Mary Hayward (Tom Hayward) and Lisa Smith (Michael Smith). She is also survived by seven nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to Donate Life America.
