We are sad to announce that on October 9, 2025, at the age of 86, Irene U. Harwell (Fairbanks, Alaska) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid farewell to this luminous soul, let her loved ones carry forward the torch of her memory, illuminating the path ahead with the warmth of her love and the brilliance of her spirit. Though Irene may journey beyond the horizon of our sight, her essence remains woven into the very fabric of our being — a guiding light in the darkness, a beacon of hope in the night.
She is survived by: her husband Larry A Harwell; and her siblings, Ella Eleshansky and Pete Trefon. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 43 great grand children and numerous great great grand children.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 17th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Herman's Orthodox Church (2180 Goldstream Rd, Fairbanks, AK 99709).
