He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Ama Lee and Harold Strupp. He is survived by: his wife Ellen Clark; his mother Sylvia Strupp; his stepfather Jim Adair; his brothers, Paul Gerber and Trent Gerber (Ellie); his sisters-in-law, Cindy Clark and Karen Clark; his nephew Grey Gerber (Daryan); his nieces, Madisen (Mark) of Jong and Margot Clark; and his uncles, David and Ronald Strupp.
He retired in 2020 during the pandemic after working several years as a seasonal contractor at Fort Greely's Cold Regions Test Center helping to test a wide variety of Army equipment.
