We bid farewell to Helen B. Colyer (Kenai, Alaska), whose journey of life gracefully concluded on April 24, 2025 at the age of 71. Helen touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. As Helen departs from this earthly realm, her essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Helen may no longer walk beside us, her spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Helen leaves behind.
She was predeceased by: her parents, James Autry and Johnnie Autry of Ludington, Michigan.. She is survived by: her children, Cassandra Rankin (Matthew) of Nikiski, Alaska and Buck Colyer of Nikiski; her grandchild Brenden Ferman; her children, Colton Rankin, Gracie Rankin, Ella Rankin and Levi Rankin; and her close friend Cindy Krell of Clare.
In lieu of donations or flowers, Helen's family encourages those who knew and loved her to plant poppies this spring and think warmly of her, or to donate or serve at local schools, senior centers, or in 4-H programs.
