It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James W. Rowe of Nikiski, Alaska, born in Hemingway, South Carolina, who passed away on September 5, 2023, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, Hazard Rowe and Nellie Rowe; and his siblings, Myrtle, Ernie and Jerry Rowe.

He is survived by : his wife Janet Rowe; his son James J. Rowe; his stepchildren, Robert Runyon, Dan Huber, Gary Cox, Teresa Cox Oxeriok and Ruth Cox James; and his daughters-in-law, Alina Henry Runyon and Mindy Brady. He is also survived by several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephew, and friends.
