He was predeceased by: his parents, Karl Johan Elde and Elfrid Drageset-Elde; his sisters, Oddney Elde and Liv Mikkelsen; his son-in-law Michael Corbin; and his grandson Preston Atwood.

He is survived by: his children, Karl Elde (Julie), Gary Elde (Anna), Kari Atwood (Dwayne) and DeAnn Corbin; and his grandchildren, Branden, Blake, Madelyn, Mitchell, Courtney and Audra.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 9th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Resurrection Lutheran Church (400 3rd Ave, Seward, AK 99664).

In lieu of flowers, family requests donations in his name to Resurrection Lutheran Church Boiler Fund.
