He is survived by: his siblings, Jack (Peggy), Henry "Doc", Mae Brandon and Marjorie Gagnon; and his children, Ward Courtney (Cheryl), Sidney Jr (Syneva), Julie Chase (Marvan), Jenette Gates (David) and Camey Gaines. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren and three great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
