It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Donald Eugene Oehler of Soldotna, Alaska, born in Caldwell, Idaho, who passed away on November 15, 2025, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Ulysses Oehler and Elizabeth Oehler; and his siblings, Robert, Raymond Oehler, Phyllis Reedy, Rose Bryar and Peggy Wucinski.
He is survived by: his wife Shirley Oehler of Soldotna; his children, Lorraine Hibpshman (Jim) of Palmer, Kim Oehler (Rhonda) of Sterling and Seth Oehler of Nikiski; his grandchildren, Cheryl Ballestas (Cesar) of Palmer, Michael Hibpshman (Hazel), Carmen Isabell (Bruce) of Kenai, Marissa Rogers (Kyle) of Nikiski and Justin Hibpshman of Palmer; and his great grandchildren, James Adams of Kenai, Tyler "Tuffy" Blades of Palmer, Alize Hibpshman of Chugiak, Kyson Rogers of Nikiski, Kinley Rogers of Nikiski, Kate Rogers of Nikiski and Keeley Rogers of Nikiski.
