We are sad to announce that on September 22, 2025 we had to say goodbye to Michael Jacob Tauriainen in Soldotna, Alaska, born in Waynesboro, Pennsylvania. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Tauriainen and Meimi Tauriainen; and his brothers, Glenn Tauriainen and Steve Tauriainen. He is survived by: his friend Fred Crowell; his wife Barbara Carol "Kay" Lindberg Tauriainen; his daughters, Julie Tauriainen (Travis Stubblefield), Wendy Martello (Matt) and Lyndi Miller (Michael); his grandchildren, Xander, Ellsi, Maci and Jack; his siblings, Carol Tauriainen-Ernst (Rand) and Carl Tauriainen; his sister-in-law Jan Bollerud (Dan); and his cousin Ray Tauriainen. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins; and an extended family, including friends.
A reception will be held on Saturday, October 11th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Nikiski Middle/High School.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a donation in Mike's name to: Alaska Christian College, The Mike Tauriainen Empty Stocking Fund or a charity of your choosing that does meaningful work and brings you joy.
