It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Carole J. Mize of Sterling, Alaska, born in Guthrie Center, Iowa, who passed away on March 30, 2023, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her son Ronnie; her parents, Robert Sloss and Lois McKinney; her son Greg Mize; and her sister Pat Humecky.

She is survived by : her son Robert; her daughter-in-law Teri Mize of Spring, Texas; her grandchildren, Joshua Mize (Kathy) of Soldotna, Jesse Mize of Bakersfield, Calif., Katy Mize of LaPort and Lizi Johnston (Reid) of Conroe, Texas; her nieces and nephews, Danny Sloss of San Rafael, Mike Humecky of Forney, Texas, Sue of Soldotna and Lisa Humecky of Soldotna; and her great grandchildren, Robbie of Soldotna, Kenny Mize of Soldotna, Andruw Wilson of Spokane, Wash., Natalie Wilson of Spokane, Payton Mize of Bakersfield, Claire of Conroe, Texas. and Elise Johnston of Conroe, Texas..
