He was predeceased by : his father Lawrence Smith. He is survived by : his mother Doris Smith (O'Hair); his wife Jenni (Walton); his brother Dan Smith (Vicki) of Greencastle; his daughters, Rachel Smith (Brad) of Greencastle and Becky Fickes (Brian) of Valdez, Alaska; and his grandchildren, Jonathan, Micah, Andrew, Jacob Fickes, Macie and Carl Smith. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
