He was predeceased by: his parents, Jim McCourt and Virginia McCourt; his sister-in-law Lynn McCourt; and his parents-in-law, Arthur "Pete" and Betty Chambers.
He is survived by: his wife Jane Chambers-McCourt; his children, Jason McCourt (Carmen) and Morgan Hegg (Luc); his grandchildren, Jacob Gudz, Lucas Gudz (Shawna), Rylan, Kendal and Keller Hegg; his brother Steve McCourt (Linda Broadbent); his close friends, Michael Gorup (Teresa) and Ron Julliussen (Linda); and his siblings-in-law, Don Chambers (Lynn), Tim Chambers (Peg) and Elaine Gray (Tyler). He is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and family friends.
