She was predeceased by: her parents, J. D. McLeod and Janie Mildred Mercer McLeod; her husband Robert Bell; her son John Thomas Gay; and her siblings, Bobbie McCranie, Larry McLeod and David McLeod.
She is survived by: her children, Tina Morris (Clifford) and Joseph Gay (Peggy) of Broxton, GA; her sister Ann Sexton of Lake Wales, FL; and her grandchildren, Vydea Tew, Vada Westbrook, Cheyenne Ricker (Kevin), Joseph Perryman, Sayde Gay and Nala Gay.
