With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Jane Benton Greene of Abbeville, Alabama, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 28, 2025 at the age of 93. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Jane Benton Greene to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, William Roy Benton and Julia Ballard Benton; her husband Earnest Lee Greene; her children, Julie Greene Burch and Durwood "Woody" Greene; her grandson James Benjamin Greene; and her brother Ben Benton.
She is survived by: her son Lee Greene; her daughter-in-law Jo Ellen Greene of Calera, AL; and her grandchildren, Joey Greene, Ben Greene, Matt Greene and Maureen Greene Zimmerman (David Zimmerman). She is also survived by eleven great-grandchildren, two nieces and a nephew.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 3rd 2025 from 1:30 PM to 2:00 PM at the Spring Hill Baptist Church (64 County Rd 3350, Troy, AL 36079). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, June 3rd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Tuesday, June 3rd 2025 at 2:30 PM at the Spring Hill Baptist Church Cemetery (64 County Rd 3350, Troy, AL 36079).
