She was predeceased by: her parents, Cecil Freemont Gibson, Jr. and Master Sergeant; her husband Rickie Lee Mize; and her brother Cecil Freemont "Monty" Gibson, III. She is survived by: her children, Heather Jordan (Fred) and Derrick Mize (Katie); her siblings, Cherie Contreras (Manuel) and Jimmy Gibson; and her grandchildren, Hagan Jordan, Gracie Lynn Jordan (Brandon), Cohen McLain Mize and Freya Adelaide Mize. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins.
