He was predeceased by: his wives, Imogene Baird, Ann Adams and Gaye Nell Duke Baird; his children, Joel Baird, Robert "Bobby" Baird Jr. and Beth Kolarchick; his siblings, Gene Weaver and Dolores Whatley; his nephew Ronnie Whatley; and his parents, Mary Elizabeth Whatley and Curry Thomas Whatley.
He is survived by: his daughters, Donna Crider (John) and Christy Parker (Tom); his grandchildren, Andy Green (Robin), Lindsey Bloodworth (Christopher), Lauren McGhee (Whit), Ashley Nichols, Carissa Crider, Christopher Parker and Lily Grace Parker; and his great grandchildren, Avery McGhee, Imy Green, Oliver and Benjamin Bloodworth.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in his name to the Korean War Veterans Association (KWVA.US).
