He was predeceased by: his parents, John Odum (Lilly Fortner) and Joyce Odum; and his brothers, John Wayne and Bob Fortner. He is survived by: his wife Peggy Fortner; his children, Sammy Fortner, Craig Fortner (Amanda) and Vanessa (Shane); and his siblings, Joe Fortner, David Fortner and Ann Stepp.
