With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Janette Rooks of Addison, Alabama, born in Houston, Alabama, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 8, 2025 at the age of 80. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parent Anice Miller; her husband Robert Ellis Rooks; her father Samuel M. Miller; and her siblings, J. L. Miller, Geneva Harden, Juanita Key and Carlton Miller.
She is survived by: her children, Tanya Daniel (Marlous) and Greg Rooks (Kim); her granddaughters, Megan Nelson (JonMark), Morgan Fields (Jacob), Katelyn Sudduth (Holden) and Kendall McFarlane (Andre); her great grandchildren, Maggie Rae Nelson and Laney Nelson; her close friend Windle Martin; and her sister Jewel Pullins (Jerry). She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 11th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the New Home Baptist Church. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, December 11th 2025 at 2:00 PM and from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the same location.
