He was predeceased by: his parents, William "Bill" Cornelius and Daisy Salter Cornelius; his siblings, William "Billy" Cornelius Jr. and Sharon Thompson; and his brother-in-law Carl Thompson.
He is survived by: his son Timothy Cornelius (Kristian Henson) of Birmingham; his stepson Jeffrey Hollingsworth (Rachel) of Cumming, Georgia; his sister Joy Greer (Wesley) of Canton; and his former wife Cindy Hollingsworth. He is also survived by nine grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
