It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jack Murphy of Alabaster, Alabama, who passed away on August 27, 2025, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer Murphy and Sarah Brewer Murphy; his wife Melvalene R. Murphy; his son Gerald Anthony "Tony" Murphy; and his brothers, Jim Murphy, Elmer "Bo" Murphy and Johnny Murphy.
He is survived by: his daughters, Sarah "Liz" M. Thompson and Buffy Murphy; his grandchildren, Angela T. Clark (Kevin), Julie-Anna Murphy, Joseph Murphy (Haley), Vaughn M. Phipps, Sarah M. Maynard (Justin) and Ruby Thompson; his great grandchildren, Sarah Clark, Landon Clark, Cole Murphy, Grey Murphy, Owen Murphy, Caroline Murphy, Henry Phipps and Edgar Phipps; and his siblings, Hazel M. Colvin, Gene Murphy and Phillip Murphy.
