With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of James Ernest Fulmer of Alabaster, Alabama, born in Clanton, Alabama, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on August 6, 2025 at the age of 85. He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest A. "Red" Fulmer and Mary Frances Fulmer (Popwell); and his brothers, Roy Edward Downs and Perry O'Neal Fulmer. He is survived by: his wife Caroline Dickinson Fulmer; his daughters, Julie Littleton (Randy) and Joyce Garrison (Sean); his granddaughters, Carrie Beth Littleton, Anna Kathryn Littleton DuTreil (Justin) and Alma Celeste Littleton Travis (Ben); his great grandchildren, Julian, Carter, Jensen Travis, Charlotte and Paige DuTreil; and his brother Jerry W. Fulmer (Susan).
Visitation was held on Saturday, August 9th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Martin Funeral Home Chapel (1300 4th Ave N, Clanton, AL 35045). A funeral service was held on Saturday, August 9th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to First Baptist Church of Alabaster AWEE Kindergarten.
