He was predeceased by: his son B. Christopher Hardin; his brother Bill Hardin; and his parents, William Roy Hardin and Beatrice Hardin Walls. He is survived by: his wife Gail W Hardin; his sister Valerie Hardin Franks; his sibling's children, Meredith, Jonathan and Lauren; and his children, Scott Hardin and Corey Hardin (Laura).

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 30th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Ridout's Southern Heritage Funeral Home and Cemetery (475 Cahaba Valley Rd, Pelham, AL 35124). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 1st 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Southminster Presbyterian Church (1124 Montgomery Hwy, Vestavia Hills, AL 35216). A committal service will be held on Wednesday, October 1st 2025 from 1:30 PM to 2:00 PM at the Southern Heritage Funeral Home & Cemetery (475 Cahaba Valley Rd, Pelham, AL 35124).
