It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Richard Larry Schmidtke of Alabaster, Alabama, born in Birmingham, Alabama, who passed away on January 28, 2024, at the age of 72, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, Larry Schmidtke, Sr. and Lou Schmidtke; and his nephew Clint Street. He is survived by : his wife Diane Schmidtke; his daughters, Jennifer Parker (Jake) and Kimberly Collins (Benny); his grandchildren, Brianna Collins, Max Parker, Kylie Collins, Avery Parker, Olivia Parker and Mackenzie Collins; and his sister Debbie Schmidtke Street. He is also survived by his wife, daughters, son in laws, and grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations to First Baptist Church of Alabaster, Bridge to the Future.
