He was predeceased by: his parents, George Mayers, Jr. and Belle Platt Mayers; and his brother George Mayers, III. He is survived by: his wife Kaye of Alabaster; his children, Todd Mayers of Birmingham, Dawn Gorham (John) of Birmingham, Brad Mayers of Fultondale and Stephanie Freeman (Brian) of Nashville, TN; his stepchildren, Julie Morrow (Franklin) of Gainesville and Jason Jay of Gainesville, Georgia.; and his siblings, Lori Aman of Winter Park and Kenneth Mayers (Michele) of Cumming. He is also survived by six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
