He was predeceased by: his parents, Valters Adams and Lacy Adams (Ward); his grandson Burley Guage Adams; and his brothers, Valters Adams Jr. and James Adams (Sandra).

He is survived by: his children, Shawn Adams (Heather), Heather Turner (Dan), Ryan Adams (Michelle) and Wade Adams; and his siblings, Johnny Adams (Carol), Phyllis Ashby (Woody) and Wanda Ward. He is also survived by many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
