He was predeceased by: his parents, Jack Avery and Louise Avery; and his brother Kenny Boykin. He is survived by: his children, Kendra Avery Campbell, Koreley Avery and Christopher Avery, Jr.; his grandchildren, Kilee, Grayson Lopez, Cantrell, Ella Banks and Lilly Avery; and his brother Gregg Avery. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles and cousins.

In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations be made to Shepherds Cove Hospice.
