We bid farewell to DeWayne Messer of Albertville, Alabama, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on October 11, 2025 at the age of 77. DeWayne touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, John Messer and Jayrena Peacock Messer; his daughter Tina Darlene Messer; and his grandmother Eva Peacock. He is survived by: his wife Jean Messer of Albertville; his son Larry Messer (Tina) of Boaz; his sister Dianne Patterson (Archie Wayne) of Guntersville; his grandchildren, Matt Walker, Casey Walker (Chasen), Josh Walker, Dakota Finch and Nick Nieto; and his niece Deanna Williams (Jim). He is also survived by 6 Great Grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 13th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Mcrae Funeral Home (99 Glenda Dr, Boaz, AL 35957). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 14th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the McRae Funeral Home Chapel (99 Glenda Dr, Boaz, AL 35957).
In lieu of flowers the family suggests donation to Shepherd's Cove Hospice, 408 Martling Road, Albertville, AL 35951.
