He was predeceased by: his wife Joyce Elrod Gore; his parents, James Walter Gore and Hattie Bell Chambers Gore; his siblings, Harley, James, Ras, Ed, Bernice Ruth, Maureen, Mary and Frances; his sons, Greg Gore and Larry King; and his grandson Justin Gore.

He is survived by: his children, Rita Gore Dowd (Roy), Lita Gore Baird, Miria King-Garner (Rick) and Joe Gore (Page). He is also survived by 12 grandchildren; 31 great grandchildren; and 9 great-great grandchildren.

“We are so saddened by the passing of Wayne. We got acquainted with Wayne and Joyce back in the mid 90's when we joined the Etowah County Master Gardeners. We went up to there home on Belview Dr. Gadsden, Al. There home was over looking the city of Gadsden. Joyce and Wayne had a small flourishing garden in there back yard, right on brow of the mountain. We lost contact in 2004 and met back with Wayne around 2016 at Beulah Baptiist .Our prayers are with the family. Donald and Joyce Currie”
