She was predeceased by : her parents, Ed Brown and Vida Lee Brown; and her brother Charles Brown (Linda). She is survived by : her husband Thomas Simmons; her children, Barbara Brock (Randy) and Mike Simmons (Kim); her grandchildren, Jonathan Spurlin (Keri), Jake Spurlin, Chris Berry (Kayla), JT Berry (Deena) and Meagan Simmons Grace; her stepgrandsons, Andrew Brock (Jennifer) and Bradley Brock (Abigail); and her brother Ray Brown (Judy). She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, April 16th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Antioch Baptist Church (130 1st St, Albertville, AL 35950). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, April 16th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
