He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel Earl Ernest and Helen Weaver; his son Donald; his grandson Cameron Blake Weaver; his brothers, Michael, Randy and Mark Weaver; and his son-in-law David Lancaster.

He is survived by: his pet Jax; his wife Joann Malone Weaver; his children, Jana Ponder (Jerry), Joanna Lancaster, Angel O'Connor (Richie) and Jeremy Weaver (Julia); his brothers, Larry (Jeanne), Steve (Kathy) and Jeff Weaver (Michelle); his sister-in-law Kay Lewis (Tim); and his grandsons, Jerry Ponder, Seth Lancaster, Jake Ponder, Zachary Weaver, Ezra Weaver and Grayson O'Connor.
